Meet the Staff
Weatherly spent years in the printing industry from the time she fell in love with it back in 1989. She started her first business, Weathervane Graphics, in 1995, when she got hooked on computer graphics and the internet which later developed into a passion for online marketing. In 2001, Weatherly purchased American Quick Print, Inc. from her previous employer and focused most of her attention there for the next eight years. She never completely let go of Weathervane Graphics though and it continued to evolve into a successful web development and online marketing firm as the printing industry she knew and loved eventually faltered. So it was finally in September of 2009 that Weatherly decided to incorporate Weathervane Graphics and never look back.
She is a past president of the United Way of Front Royal-Warren County and served on its Board of Directors from 2005 to 2012. She currently serves on the Board for String of Pearls Animal Sanctuaries, Inc., a no-kill animal rescue that serves the Shenandoah Valley.
Her folks dragged her to Front Royal, VA, when she was 14 years old and she will never forget the smell that came wafting into her classroom from the Avtex plant on her first day of school. Weatherly attended R-MA for two years but graduated from Warren County High School. Determined to get out of town, she did leave for a while after high school but quickly realized that Front Royal was actually a pretty cool place to live. She moved back to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah River and went straight to work.
Weatherly loves music, art, photography, computers, movies, animals and playing in the river. On the rare occasion that she has any spare time, you will find her enjoying one of those things.
Larry has worked for Weathervane Graphics since 1995 and is responsible for the management of the office as well as all of our online marketing projects. He is the one who takes care of everything that needs to be done each day to keep the office running so we can all keep working – but being able to support a tight-knit group AND help local businesses and organizations make all the stress well worth it to him!
In addition to the contribution of his mad admin skills, Larry is the one who keeps up with the pay-per-click game and running PPC campaigns is his contribution to our clients' marketing efforts.
From the time Larry joined us he was involved in all aspects of the printing industry and proudly helped with the web design too back when everything was still coded by hand. However, his primary focus had always been working with the clients and taking care of office needs, managing all IT equipment, purchasing, bookkeeping, etc. At one point he also held a position in the Federal Government as an Administrative Specialist, working hand-in-hand with the Director of Logistics while still helping us out in his spare time.
The few moments that Larry has away from work he spends with Weatherly and their four lovely kitties. He is an avid gamer, specifically role-playing games (tabletop and video) and enjoys reading both fantasy/sci-fi novels and in-depth history texts. Any history prior to the 1500 CE is of huge interest to him, especially early Irish and Classical Roman history.
Terri came on as an intern in 2011 and quickly became a valuable asset to the team. She is our assistant web developer and works diligently to resolve all of the pesky little coding issues that like to pop up whenever we try something new. She has also taken on a good deal of our website maintenance tasks – both internally and for our clients.
You may not see a lot of Terri when you’re at the office since she prefers to work behind the scenes. But if we’ve done any web work for your company, then she has had a hand in making it happen.
Terri is passionate about horses and loves art as much as the rest of us. In her spare time, she combines her interests by maintaining her own website that features her unique horse and teddy bear art printed on a wide array of products. Check out www.starhorsepaxdesigns.com.
Randi is our top designer and a fine artist in her own right. She has also been part of the team now since 2011, and though we only see her in the office part-time these days she is still an important member of the team.
Prior to joining us, her professional artistic experiences included murals, photorealistic pet portraiture, tattoo designs, book illustration and even a published comic book where she served as the digital colorist and co-producer. She spent four years working as a junior artist for a local manufacturer designing a wide array of colorful products: CDs, DVDs, posters, postcards, t-shirts, stickers, business cards and much more. She even made herself the company’s go-to-girl for product photography and digital die engineering.
At Weathervane Graphics, she enthusiastically works to stay on top of her already impressive skills in business design while taking on new challenges and experiences such as marketing, web design, customer service, and learning about running a business!
Randi loves all types of traditional visual arts (although tragically, the delicacies of crafts such as scrapbooking, jewelry-making and fiber-arts elude her). She likes cleaning, recycling, gardening, horseback riding, bicycling, daydreaming and napping. She loves her pets, her two sisters, her parents and her incredibly sweet and generous boyfriend.
Paula is one of our resident SEO techs. She spends her days doing all the horrendous chores that you don’t want to deal with so your website will get more traffic. She is Randi's older sister and has been part of the team since 2013.
Paula thinks art is really cool but her true passion lies in writing fiction. She sometimes puts this skill to fantastic use by writing and editing for Weathervane Graphics.
She also enjoys large and small critters, video games, movies, books (of course!) and occasionally spends wild party nights watching reruns of "Doctor Who" or "Star Trek" with Randi. She loves her two cats, her sisters, and her mom.
